COMMUNITIES ACROSS the U.S. were recognized at America in Bloom’s 2022 Symposium & Awards Ceremony, held September 29 to October 1 in St. Louis, Missouri. America in Bloom (AIB) was founded in 2001 to encourage community development through horticulture. Its national awards program judges registered communities in a number of categories, including environmental effort, urban forestry, and heritage preservation. The American Horticultural Society (AHS) has been a program partner since 2007, sponsoring the Community Involvement Outstanding Achievement Award. This year, the award was presented to Pound Ridge, New York, a town located in Westchester County about 45 miles north of Manhattan.
