Town Initiatives

The Growing Pound Ridge Committee prioritizes landscape improvements and identifies the environmental needs of Pound Ridge to help nurture and maintain our town. In keeping with the history and natural beauty of Pound Ridge, Growing Pound Ridge aspires to strengthen our relationship with our surroundings and highlight what we value about Pound Ridge.

In September 2012, the Pound Ridge Partnership and the Pound Ridge Business Association teamed up to form the Pound Ridge Committee for Green Streets for the purpose of planning and implementing the Pound Ridge Green Streets Street Light Project.

We want to develop a unified community vision, prioritize landscape improvements and community enhancements, and identify the unique features, functions, and needs of Pound Ridge that will improve our town. In keeping with the history and natural beauty of Pound Ridge, we want to strengthen a sense of community -what we value about Pound Ridge -and connect to the local ecology with plants that support pollinators and wildlife, protect the water, build the soil, clean the air, and bring health and prosperity to our community- while we honor the town’s past and the many contributions of its residents.

Harvest Walk

The Harvest Walk was an unsightly area of Town that has become a Pound Ridge Partnership beautification project. We are beautifying between buildings with a brick walkway and landscaping, a plan that was developed in conjunction with local landscape architect Louis Fusco. Its name honors the Partnership’s Harvest Festival, which has been a major Partnership fundraiser, enabling our projects to become reality.

Honoring those committed to improving Pound Ridge, the David and Lois Anderson Beautification Award was created by the Pound Ridge Partnership as a way to recognize an individual, group or business that has shown extraordinary commitment to improving the Pound Ridge Business District.
